IHSW January

It’s the first hermitage weekend of the year and I’m starting off on a high note. Yes, that’s right:

Snow White is officially all done! Yay! After nearly two full skeins of yellow in her skirt and a bunch of backstitching in her basket she is finally complete J.

I worked a bit more on the samurai this weekend as well.

His head is just about all done and I’ve moved onto his outfit.

Heather’s grown a tiny bit too.

Have a great stitching week!

A New Start for the New Year

I managed to get a bit done on my first new start of 2013.  The piece is called The Samurai and this is the kit I got for Christmas.

So far just his hair is done.  Eventually he’s going to be a companion to Elegant Geisha which I finished before.

Amazingly enough I didn’t even break my resolution yet, which means since I started him…

All the cross-stitching on Snow White is DONE! Yay! Boy that sure seemed like a struggle didn’t it?  I’m happy to say that I’ve even begun the back stitching and so far it’s going swimmingly J.
I also have one more new start as I received the first page of Heather for the HAED Freebie SAL last week.

Not too much to see yet, but I’ve already seen pictures of those who are farther along and she’ll (eventually!) look great.  I’m stitching her on 16 ct aida in a color called Sea Lily which is greenish in real life and some indeterminate shade in the camera.  Ah well J.

Have a great stitching week.
